Founder’s Office- Design and Product Development

Role Description We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join the Founder’s Office as a Chief of Staff with a strong foundation in textile design and product development. This is a high-impact role combining creative, operational, and business responsibilities, working directly with the founder on strategic and executional priorities.Key Responsibilities1. Design & Product Development* Research global home décor and textile trends (WGSN, Market Week, international fairs, etc.)* Conceptualize and design home textile products aligned with global trends and client requirements* Develop sampling strategies for international clients* Work closely with production teams to translate designs into high-quality samples* Select fabrics, trims, and finishes aligned with product positioning2. Trend Research & Market Intelligence* Continuously track global design trends, materials, and consumer preferences* Analyze competitor offerings and market positioning* Provide actionable insights for product innovation and expansion3. Founder’s Office & Strategic Execution* Assist the founder in business development, growth strategy, and new vertical exploration* Support decision-making through research, analysis, and presentations* Drive execution of key strategic initiatives4. Merchandising & Coordination* Coordinate with internal teams (design, production, sourcing) for seamless execution* Manage timelines for sampling and product development cycles* Liaise with external stakeholders including clients, vendors, and partners5. Business & Growth Support* Identify new business opportunities and market segments* Support expansion plans through research and execution* Contribute to building scalable processes across functions6. Reporting & Communication* Prepare presentations, reports, and dashboards (Excel, PowerPoint)* Track key metrics and project progress* Report directly to the FounderRequired Skills & Qualifications* Strong foundation in Textile Design and Product Development* Education from NIFT (Tier-1 preferred)* 2+ years of relevant experience* Understanding of home textiles, fabrics, and sampling processes* Strong knowledge of global design trends and forecasting tools (WGSN, etc.)* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-ownership environmentPreferred Qualifications* Experience in business roles, consulting, or startup environments* Exposure to merchandising or export-oriented textile businesses* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindsetWho Should Apply* Individuals who enjoy working at the intersection of design, business, and strategy* Self-starters who can take ownership and thrive in an unstructured environment* Candidates looking to work closely with founders and drive impactReporting Structure* Direct reporting to the Founder
