IBM Cognos/ Consolidation - Contractor

Job Title: IBM Cognos & Consolidation ContractorExperience: 4–8 Years Location: Remote Employment Type: ContractualJob OverviewWe are looking for an IBM Cognos & Consolidation Contractor with strong experience in IBM Cognos Controller / Cognos Analytics and financial consolidation processes. The role involves building Cognos reports and supporting end-to-end consolidation activities in a complex, multi-entity environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics.Support IBM Cognos Controller consolidation setup, including entities, hierarchies, and structures.Manage financial consolidation processes including data collection, validation, and reporting.Configure consolidation rules such as intercompany eliminations and adjustments.Support multi-currency consolidation including FX translation and revaluation.Work with different consolidation methods (full, proportionate, equity).Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and support month-end close activities.Collaborate with finance teams to translate requirements into solutions.Required Skills4–8 years of experience in IBM Cognos Controller / Cognos Analytics.Strong knowledge of financial consolidation and group reporting.Hands-on experience with Cognos Controller configuration.Understanding of multi-currency accounting and consolidation methods.Good SQL and relational database skills.Experience with data validation and reporting workflows.Strong analytical and communication skills.Preferred SkillsExposure to IFRS / US GAAP consolidation.Experience in Big 4 or consulting environments.Knowledge of ERP or financial consolidation systems.
