F5 Application Security Engineer – WAF Migration

Position Title : F5 WAF EngineerExperience: 5–8 Years (Minimum)Location: Dubai / UAE (On-site )Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced F5 WAF Migration Engineer to support large-scale application security and datacenter migration projects. The candidate will be responsible for the migration, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of F5 BIG-IP WAF environments, ensuring secure and seamless transition of applications with minimal disruption.The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP ASM/AWAF, strong understanding of application security policies, and experience executing WAF migrations across data centers or cloudEnvironments. Experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls will be considered a strong advantage.Key Responsibilities:F5 WAF Migration & Implementation* Perform migration of F5 BIG-IP ASM/AWAF configurations from legacy platforms to new environments (physical, virtual, or cloud).* Execute policy migration, tuning, and optimization for web application security.* Configure and support F5 modules including:➢ LTM (Local Traffic Manager)➢ ASM / AWAF (Web Application Firewall)➢ APM (Access Policy Manager) – optional* Perform cutover planning and execution during maintenance windows.* Conduct pre-migration assessments and configuration audits.Infrastructure & Migration Support* Work closely with network and application teams during migration.* Validate application connectivity, SSL offloading, and traffic routing.* Perform post-migration testing and validation to ensure service continuity.* Support troubleshooting and performance optimization of the F5 environment.Documentation & Knowledge Transfer* Prepare and maintain technical documentation including:➢ HLD / LLD➢ Migration plans➢ As-built configuration documents* Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams.Certifications (Preferred)At least one of the following:* F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA)* F5 Certified Technology Specialist (F5-CTS – ASM/AWAF)Added Advantage SkillsCandidates with the following experience will be preferred:* Palo Alto Networks Firewalls (NGFW / Panorama)* Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls* Experience with multi-vendor security environments* Experience with data center migration projects* Cloud WAF experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)Preferred Project Experience* WAF migration projects* Data center migration programs* Application security implementations* Large enterprise environments (banking, aviation, governmentKindly share your Resume at
