Sigma Computing Develope

We are seeking an experienced Sigma Computing Developer to join our offshore data analytics team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Sigma Computing for cloud-native BI and analytics, deep SQL expertise, and experience working with modern cloud data warehouses. This role will work closely with onshore stakeholders, data engineering teams, and business users to design governed, scalable, and self-service analytics solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable dashboards, workbooks, and datasets in Sigma Computing.Build governed semantic models and reusable datasets for business teams.Translate business requirements into analytical models using SQL and Sigma data modeling.Connect Sigma to cloud data warehouses such as:SnowflakeGoogle BigQueryAmazon RedshiftImplement row-level and column-level security using Sigma and warehouse-native security.Optimize queries and performance by collaborating with data engineering teams.Enable self-service analytics by building intuitive, spreadsheet-like analytics experiences.Migrate legacy BI reports (e.g., Tableau/Power BI/Looker/Excel) into Sigma.Create documentation, data dictionaries, and user guides.Conduct user training sessions and support business teams across time zones.Work in an agile model with daily overlap with US stakeholders.Required Skills & Experience3+ years of hands-on experience in Sigma Computing.Strong SQL skills for analytical modeling and performance tuning.Experience with cloud data platforms: Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.Understanding of semantic modeling, datasets, and governance in Sigma.Experience implementing data security and access controls.Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline workflows.Experience working in offshore delivery models with US/Europe clients.Strong communication skills and ability to gather requirements independently.Experience in performance optimization for large datasets.Preferred QualificationsExperience migrating from Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or Looker to Sigma.Knowledge of data transformation tools such as dbt.Experience with data governance/catalog tools (e.g., Alation, Atlan, Collibra).Understanding of dimensional modeling and star schemas.Experience in retail, healthcare, fintech, or manufacturing domains.Responsibilities in Offshore ModelIndependently handle requirements, development, testing, and deployment.Proactively communicate blockers and status updates.Adhere to documentation and coding standards.Participate in sprint ceremonies and demos.Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving mindset.Ability to explain data concepts to non-technical users.Self-driven, accountable, and comfortable working remotely.Strong written and verbal communication.Nice to HaveExposure to embedded analytics use cases in Sigma.Experience with KPI frameworks and executive dashboards.Prior experience in a data consulting or services organization.EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
