Built by Team Oviqo, OviGuide is committed to innovating and improving the student decision-making experience.Role DescriptionThis is a remote internship opportunity for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) Intern. In this role, you will collaborate with the development team to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions. Responsibilities include writing clean, optimized code, troubleshooting and debugging technical issues, and participating in code reviews. You will contribute to the implementation of new features, integrate APIs, and ensure product quality through testing and development best practices.STIPEND : 20K PER MONTHQualificationsProficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScriptFamiliarity with web development frameworks and toolsExperience in problem-solving, data structures, and algorithmsBasic understanding of version control systems like GitAbility to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a remote settingPassion for learning and applying new technologiesPursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldResponsibilities:Build and maintain backend APIs for prediction and recommendation systemsWork with structured datasets (cutoffs, rankings, user data)Design and query databases using PostgreSQL and PrismaImplement core product features like college prediction, optimization logic, and user workflowsCollaborate on rapid product iterations and ship features quicklyRequirements:Strong fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js preferred) or PythonExperience with SQL and database designFamiliarity with REST APIsAbility to work with CSV/data processingProblem-solving mindset and ability to move fastGood to Have:React / Next.jsPrisma or any ORMExperience with scraping or APIsBasic understanding of probability/logic systemsWhat we value:Speed > perfectionOwnership > instructionsReal projects > certificates
