About the Role We are hiring on behalf of an innovative technology company transforming the industrialized construction industry through advanced design automation and cloud-native platforms. The company develops intelligent systems that automate complex design workflows, enabling architects and engineers to optimize structural layouts and accelerate building design processes at scale.They combine computational geometry, cloud infrastructure, and generative AI to power next-generation tools that automate 3D structural modeling and geometrical placements. Their platform is designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across modern design and engineering environments.They are currently looking for a Backend Engineer specializing in design algorithms to join their engineering team and contribute to the development of high-performance systems that power the geometry and automation layers of their platform.Key Responsibilities• Design and develop backend algorithms that support 3D geometry computation and design automation. • Implement efficient data structures and algorithmic solutions using Java and relevant object model libraries. • Develop and optimize algorithms that automate structural geometrical placements and design processes. • Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate backend algorithms with visualization and rendering layers. • Utilize cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud services, to support scalable geometry processing. • Analyze and refine existing algorithms to improve performance, accuracy, and reliability. • Work with cross-functional teams to translate design and engineering requirements into scalable backend solutions. • Document algorithmic approaches, methodologies, and technical best practices.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. • Strong backend development experience with Java. • Experience implementing complex algorithms and working with advanced data structures. • Familiarity with object model libraries and common design patterns. • Experience using Google Cloud services within backend systems. • Understanding of structural geometry, computational geometry, or design automation techniques. • Exposure to generative AI algorithms or algorithmic design approaches is highly valued. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.What Makes This Opportunity Interesting• Work on cutting-edge design automation technology used in modern construction and engineering workflows. • Contribute to complex computational geometry and generative design challenges. • Build scalable backend systems powering cloud-native engineering platforms. • Collaborate with a global team focused on innovation in digital construction technology.Pro5 is a global platform helping thousands of vetted professionals get hired by top employers.
