Total AI Systems, Inc. is looking for a serious System Administrator—someone who understands servers not as dashboards, but as systems that break, recover, perform, and stay online under pressure.We run production environments powering PHP-based web applications on Linux servers using Apache and SQL databases. This role is focused on real server operations, not cloud abstraction layers.You will own how servers are configured, secured, optimized, and kept stable in production. From handling traffic spikes to debugging slow queries and fixing misbehaving services—you are the person engineering relies on when systems go down.This is a hands-on, operator role, not a coordination or vendor-management position. If you enjoy working directly with Linux servers, tuning performance, and solving real production issues—this role is for you.We are not looking for someone who only works on AWS consoles or follows playbooks without understanding the system underneath.What You’ll Be Responsible ForConfiguring and managing Linux-based production serversInstalling, configuring, and optimizing Apache, PHP, and MySQL/MariaDB stacksMonitoring system health, uptime, and performance of web applicationsTroubleshooting server, application, and database issues in production environmentsManaging backups, restoration processes, and disaster recovery strategiesImplementing server security: firewalls, access controls, patching, and hardeningOptimizing server performance for high-traffic web applicationsHandling deployments, migrations, and server upgradesSupporting engineering teams with environment setup and issue resolutionOwning production stability—you configure it, you keep it runningRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university3+ years of hands-on experience managing Linux production serversStrong experience with Apache, PHP, and MySQLSolid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and server architectureExperience troubleshooting real-time production issuesAbility and willingness to work in a high-responsibility environmentFluent spoken and written EnglishExtremely dependable—when systems fail, you take ownership and fix themStrongly PreferredLinux+ certification or equivalentExperience with control panels like cPanel/WHMStrong command-line and shell scripting (Bash) skillsExperience with server monitoring and logging toolsUnderstanding of DNS, SSL, and network-level debuggingExperience handling high-availability setups and load balancingBasic exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, etc.)—but not primary focusWhat We Mean by “Operator Mindset”We’re looking for someone who:Knows why a server slowed down—not just that it didUnderstands how PHP, Apache, and MySQL interact under loadCan debug issues from logs, metrics, and system behavior—not guessworkAutomates repetitive tasks but understands manual recovery deeplyTakes ownership of uptime, performance, and system healthWhat Success Looks LikeServers remain stable, secure, and consistently performantProduction issues are identified and resolved before major impactWeb applications run smoothly under varying traffic conditionsBackups and recovery processes work reliably when neededDeployments and changes do not introduce instabilityEngineering teams trust infrastructure and don’t get blocked
