Web Developer

Role OverviewSoftGlare is looking for a Web Developer with some hands-on experience managing websites and web assets. This role is ideal for candidates who have worked on real projects through internships, freelance work, contract roles, or personal projects and are comfortable owning day-to-day website updates and improvements.Key Responsibilities:-Own day-to-day maintenance and updates of the Softglare websiteImplement layout, styling, and content changes using HTML and CSSMake and debug JavaScript updates for interactive elementsEnsure the website is responsive and consistent across devices and browsersManage web assets including images, documents, and media filesIdentify and resolve broken links, UI issues, and minor bugsCollaborate with marketing and leadership teams on website updates and launchesMonitor site performance, uptime, and basic analyticsApply basic best practices for website security, backups, and performanceRequired Skills & Experience:-1+ year of hands-on experience managing or building websites (internships, freelance, contract, or personal projects all count)Solid working knowledge of HTML and CSSWorking familiarity with JavaScriptExperience using a CMS (WordPress, Webflow, Wix, or similar)Comfortable working independently on web tasksStrong attention to detail and reliability in executionPreferred (Nice to Have):-Experience deploying or updating production websitesBasic understanding of:-Responsive design and cross-browser compatibilitySEO fundamentalsImage and asset optimizationFamiliarity with version control (Git/GitHub)Interest in design systems or UX best practicesExperience working with marketing or content teamsEducation:-No college degree requiredHigh school graduates, self-taught developers, bootcamp grads, and non-traditional backgrounds are welcomeReal-world experience and portfolio matter more than formal educationWhat We Offer:-Ownership of a real production websiteOpportunity to grow technical depth and responsibilityMentorship and exposure to a tech consulting environmentFlexible, remote-friendly work setupClear path to grow into a more senior web or software development role
