T24 Developer

We are looking for an experienced T24 Developer (Code Review) to join our growing technology team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality, performance, and maintainability of our T24 local developments and InfoBasic/jBASE programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in T24 development, strong review and analytical skills, and a passion for improving code quality and engineering standards. You will play a key role in enhancing core banking customizations while mentoring developers and driving best practices across the organization.ResponsibilitiesEnsure all InfoBasic programs and T24 routines adhere to coding standards, naming conventions, and industry best practices.Perform comprehensive peer reviews to enhance reliability, performance, and maintainability of core banking customizations.Review InfoBasic subroutines, batch jobs, and local developments for correctness, robustness, and effective error handling.Validate file operations, ensuring proper locking, retry logic, and data integrity.Check compatibility and correctness of functions, statements, and syntax across T24 release versions.-Review and optimize complex database queries, analyzing performance impact based on table and dataset volumes.Assess performance implications of developed solutions and recommend improvements.Evaluate code readability, design, and complexity; suggest refactoring when required.Ensure proper logging, data validation, archival mechanisms, and exception handling, especially for financial transactions and interfaces.Verify presence and quality of unit and functional tests to minimize regression risk before deployment.Provide constructive feedback and mentor junior developers, contributing to continuous improvement of coding guidelines.Ensure alignment with T24 standards and internal development policies.Apply core banking and basic accounting knowledge during code review.Understand T24 core routines and identify opportunities for performance enhancement.RequirementsMinimum 7 years of strong experience in InfoBasic, jBASE, and T24 local development (routines, versions, OFS/TC routines, file handling).Solid understanding of T24 functionalities, core banking processes, and common tables.Hands-on experience with Git or similar version control systems and modern code review workflows (branches, pull requests).Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Business Analysts, QA teams, and release management.Experience with OpenShift is an added advantage.
