Job Description:

This is NOT an entry level role. Kara Medical Foundation, is launching an exciting new project to empower college students with vision impairments through digital literacy and assistive technology training. We are looking for a dynamic and committed Project Assistant / Program Associate to help us assemble, run, and coordinate this pilot program. This role is ideal for someone who is able to structure and coordinate in fast-moving, start-up style projects, is adept at setting up systems and processes in new initiatives, and is passionate about inclusion and accessibility. Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the day-to-day activities of the Vision AT Project. Support and conduct assistive technology training sessions for students with vision impairments. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting. Liaise with universities, students, NGOs, and project partners. Assist with office administration and email management under the Trustee’s guidance. Assist in project setup, monitoring, and evaluation. Adapt and problem-solve in a fast-moving, evolving project environment. May need to provide flexible support to Kara’s broader projects beyond the Vision AT program. RequirementsPrior experience working with persons with disabilities (PwDs) – especially vision impairments. Strong understanding of or hands-on experience with assistive technology and digital accessibility. Experience in skills training, facilitation, or community programs. Highly organized, flexible, and able to work in a start-up style environment. Excellent coordination and communication skills. Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team. Ability to work 9 am – 5 pm, 6 days a week , with flexibility for occasional extended hours. Willingness to work from office (Delhi NCR) with some scope for remote work.
