Position: Mechanical EngineerLocation: India (Remote/ Hybrid)Employment Type: Full time - Long-Term ContractCompany: Bridge HealthAbout the CompanyBridge Health is a pharma manufacturing and process development company focused on scalable, GMP-aligned solutions for essential medicines, developing a cutting-edge FDA-cGMP artemisinin manufacturing line using continuous photochemistry, crystallization, and solvent recovery technologies at industrial scale.Responsibilities:1. Mechanical Design & Equipment EngineeringPerform equipment sizing and specification for process equipment including photo-oxidation reactors, vessels, crystallizers, ANFD/filters, heat exchangers, distillation & solvent recovery systems, pumps, compressors, and storage tanks.Prepare mechanical datasheets and technical specifications for procurement.Review vendor GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and mechanical designs for compliance with project requirements.2. Plant Layout & Mechanical IntegrationSupport development and review of equipment layouts, isometric drawings, piping tie-ins, and utility connections.Ensure maintenance accessibility, operability, and safe plant layout.Coordinate with civil, piping, process, and instrumentation teams for proper mechanical integration.3. Vendor Management & Procurement SupportSupport technical bid evaluation and techno-commercial comparison of equipment vendors.Participate in vendor technical discussions and design reviews.Ensure vendor equipment complies with project specifications, codes, and standards.4. Installation & Commissioning SupportParticipate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).Support equipment installation, commissioning, start-up, and mechanical troubleshooting.5. Compliance & Engineering StandardsEnsure designs comply with FDA cGMP, ASME pressure vessel codes, API standards, and 21 CFR Part 210/211.Incorporate safety, reliability, and maintainability considerations in equipment design.6. Documentation & Engineering DeliverablesPrepare and review mechanical design documents, equipment datasheets, vendor drawing approvals, FAT/SAT protocols, and installation checklists.Maintain engineering documentation required for regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.Qualifications & Skills:B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.5–7 years’ experience in pharma/chemical plant design or EPC projects.Strong knowledge of ASME codes, API standards, piping & pressure vessel design.Experience in vendor coordination, procurement support, and documentation.Familiarity with cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11/210/211 requirements for regulated markets preferred.
