We’re Hiring: Steel Structure Design EngineerWork Location: Benghazi, Libya (On-site)Employment Type: Full-TimeRole OverviewWe are seeking Steel Structure Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and analysis of various structures, gaining hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers on exciting projects that shape our built environment. Experienced in preparing structural calculation reports, technical documentation, site inspections, and supporting construction activities through engineering coordination. Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Engineer with experience in design and analysis of reinforced concrete structures for building projects.Good understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards (BS) for structural design and compliance.Skilled in using ETABS, Master Series, Tekla Structures, and AutoCAD for structural modelling, analysis, and detailing.Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems, including steel and concrete structures.Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.Collaborate with senior engineers to develop innovative solutions for complex design challenges.Support project management tasks, including scheduling and budgeting.Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions and brainstorming sessions.Apply logical engineering judgment beyond software reliance to solve problems and develop practical, economical solutions.Design steel connections, calculate capacities, and clearly communicate requirements to internal technicians.Collaborate with internal teams to project management, supporting the full lifecycle from conceptual design to manufacture and constructions.Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering or a related field.5+ years of progressive experience in maintaining and managing large-scale projects, preferably within the steel fabrication industry.Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of structural analysis software, computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and other relevant structural engineering software.
