We provide the engineering backbone for India's most complex floating solar installations: large-scale reservoir and water body projects that few companies in the country have the expertise to deliver.The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Engineer – Projects & Design who can independently own the engineering delivery of large-scale solar projects — from design documentation through client approvals and specialist consultant coordination. This is a hands-on execution role. The role demands both technical depth and the communication discipline to drive deliverables across multiple parallel workstreams without being chased.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Design & DocumentationPrepare and review Design Basis Reports, structural and civil calculations, buoyancy and weight schedulesDevelop and maintain project drawing registers, comment resolution sheets (CRS), and document transmittalsReview deliverables from external structural, civil, and marine engineering consultants before client submissionClient & Regulatory InterfaceIndependently respond to design comments from PSU clients, PMCs, and regulatory bodies Manage drawing submissions through client document management portals; track approval status and drive closurePrepare CRS responses and coordinate re-submissions within client-mandated timelinesLiaise with third-party vetting agencies as part of the statutory approval processConsultant & Subcontractor CoordinationAct as primary technical interface with specialist consultants/contractors(structural, FEA, marine engineering, civil subcontractors)Proactively track open items and drive closure — flag blockers early, do not wait to be chasedRequirementsEssentialB.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; M.Tech preferred5–12 years in solar or renewable energy EPC with a design and engineering focusDemonstrated experience independently managing drawing reviews and comment resolution with PSU or government clients (SECI, NTPC, BHEL, GAIL, or equivalent)Ability to draft and submit technical responses without supervisionProficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of civil and structural design documentation standardsStrong written English — most client communication in this role is email-basedPreferred — but not a barrier to applyingPrior experience on a floating solar projectFamiliarity with document management portals used by major PSUs in the power sectorExposure to third-party structural or stability vetting processesAny background in solar, marine, coastal, or water-body civil engineeringExperience coordinating FEA or structural stability analysis with external consultantsWhy Join FloatexA rare specialisationFloating solar is where ground mount was a decade ago.
