Senior Design Engineer – Thermal Energy Storage

Candidate must be currently based in Delhi, preferably residing in or near South West Delhi, to ensure operational convenience Role SummaryWe are seeking a technically strong Senior Design Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and engineering of Thermal Energy Storage (TES) systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in thermodynamics, HVAC systems, and chilled water applications, with the ability to independently handle end-to-end TES engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesLead conceptual & detailed design of TES systems (Chilled Water / Ice Storage / PCM).Perform thermal load calculations, energy modeling, and hydraulic design.Develop P&ID, GA drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs.Support techno-commercial proposals with Sales team.Evaluate vendor technical submissions and conduct comparisons.Provide technical support during project execution & commissioning.Participate in consultant meetings and technical discussions.Drive innovation and optimization within the TES vertical.Required Qualifications & ExperienceB.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal specialization preferred).6–10+ years of experience in HVAC / District Cooling / TES / Energy Engineering.Strong knowledge of:Thermodynamics & Heat TransferChilled Water SystemsHVAC Load CalculationsPumping & Hydraulic DesignProficiency in HAP / eQuest / AutoCAD / Excel (advanced modeling).Core CompetenciesStrong technical ownership mindset.Analytical & structured problem-solving approach.Ability to independently manage design deliverables.Strong communication skills for consultant/client engagement.Performance IndicatorsAccuracy & efficiency of TES designs.Reduction in design revisions & execution issues.Contribution to cost optimization & energy savings.Technical support enabling revenue growth in TES vertical.
