We are looking for aBattery Pack Engineer with strong hands-on experience in designing, validating, andindustrializing lithium-based battery packs across multiple cell formats and high-powerapplications. This role requires deep understanding of electrical, thermal, and mechanical packdesign, along with close collaboration with cell suppliers, BMS vendors, and manufacturingpartners.The ideal candidate is comfortable working with pouch, cylindrical, and prismatic cells,understands the challenges of high C-rate operation, and can take a battery pack from architecturedefinition to production readiness.Key Responsibilities Battery Pack Architecture & Design and define pack architecture based on application requirements including voltage, current, energy, power, thermal limits, lifetime, and safety.Design battery packs using pouch, cylindrical (18650, 21700, 4680), and prismatic cells.Develop series/parallel configurations, busbar layouts, and interconnect strategies for high current operation.Design for high-power use cases including fast charge, high pulse discharge, and continuous high current operation.Own pack-level electrical schematics and interface definitionsHigh-Power & Thermal Engineering.Design packs capable of handling high C-rate cells with minimal voltage sag and heat generation.Perform thermal design and analysis including passive and active cooling strategies.Define thermal interfaces, insulation, spacing, and heat dissipation pathsEvaluate pack behaviour under peak load, transient pulses, and abusive thermal conditions.Mechanical & Structural Design work with mechanical engineers to define enclosure design, compression systems, vibration resistance, and ingress protection. Ensure mechanical robustness under shock, vibration, and real-world operating conditions.Optimize pack design for weight, volume, manufacturability, and serviceability.Support CAD reviews and tolerance stack-ups related to battery assembliesBMS & Electronics Integration define BMS requirements including voltage sensing, current measurement, temperature sensing, balancing, protections, and communication. Work closely with BMS suppliers to ensure compatibility with chosen cell chemistry and power levels.Define protection limits for over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, over-temperature, and short-circuit events.Support BMS validation, calibration, and firmware tuning at pack level.Testing, Validation & Safety define pack-level test plans including electrical, thermal, mechanical, and environmental tests, Support abuse testing including short-circuit, overcharge,over-discharge, and thermal stress scenarios.
