Role OverviewWe are seeking ahands-on Electronics Design Engineerwith3–5 years of industry experienceto support the end-to-end development of electronic products. The ideal candidate will be strong inhardware design ,circuit analysis , andembedded firmware development , and comfortable working across schematic design, PCB layout, simulation, testing, and validation. This role requires a practical engineer who enjoys building, debugging, and improving real products—not just theory. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and developanalog and digital electronic circuitsfor automotive, industrial, and embedded applications Performcircuit analysis, simulations, and validation(power, signal integrity, thermal, and protection circuits) Create and reviewschematics and multi-layer PCB layouts Support prototype bring-up, debugging, testing, and failure analysis Develop and maintain embedded firmwareon8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers Write clean, efficient code in Embedded C and Pythonfor firmware, testing, and automation Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers Assist indesign documentation , BOM creation, and engineering change management Support compliance with relevantautomotive and industrial standards Must-Have SkillsHardware Design & Simulation Analog & digital circuit design Power electronics basics (DC-DC, protection, filtering) Circuit simulation and analysis Schematic & PCB Design Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout Multi-layer PCB experience preferred Embedded Systems Embedded firmware development on 8-bit / 16-bit / 32-bit MCUs Strong proficiency inEmbedded C Experience withPythonfor testing, scripting, or automation Engineering Fundamentals Circuit analytics, debugging, and root-cause analysis Understanding of interfaces such as UART, SPI, I²C, CAN (preferred) Good to Have (Nice-to-Have)Automotive or industrial electronics experience Exposure to EMC/EMI design practices Experience with hardware testing tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power analyzer) Familiarity with manufacturing and DFM/DFA concepts EducationBachelor’s degree inElectronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field What We OfferOpportunity to work onreal-world, production-grade products Exposure to automotive and industrial electronics Collaborative engineering environment with global teams Competitive compensation aligned with experience Long-term growth and learning opportunities Who Should ApplyIf you are an engineer who: Enjoyshands-on electronics design Can work across hardware + firmware Likes solving real engineering problems, then SAP Swiss would like to hear from you.
