Job Description:

Note: Along with the online application, you also need to fill up this google form to be considered for this position: About Us  We are a group of skilled engineers and scientists aiming to build the best aero engines in the world. Our focus includes both military and civilian applications. We move fast and will commercialize our first category of engines within 12 months. We are venture funded and rapidly expanding our team. We are already working on state-of-the-art drone/defense tech propulsion systems and our entire technology stack is built in-house. Job location: New Delhi / Bengaluru Your Role   As an aero engine Control Systems Engineer, you will hold a key technical role focused on the development and implementation of the engine's core control logic. You will be responsible for the entire model-based design lifecycle: from creating adaptive control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink to implementing them on embedded microcontrollers using C. This position requires you to perform rigorous system-level validation through both software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hands-on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, demanding a strong practical understanding of control theory, real-time programming, and aerospace electronics.  Key Responsibilities   Design, implement, and validate adaptive control algorithms for jet engine systems under different environmental and operational conditions.  Develop high-fidelity analytical and simulation models of jet engine control dynamics using MATLAB/Simulink and embedded platforms.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, thermal, and avionics engineers to ensure robust system integration and performance.  Conduct system-level testing and validation, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.  Provide technical support in debugging embedded hardware, including interfacing sensors, actuators, and micro-controllers.  Document control strategies, test results, and version-controlled software using industry-standard tools.  Required Qualifications & Skills   Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a focus on Control Systems or Embedded Systems for aerospace applications.  Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink, Embedded C, and real-time microcontroller programming.  Experience with model-based design, auto-code generation, and firmware development for aerospace or automotive systems.  Strong understanding of digital and analog electronics, including experience in PCB-level debugging, soldering, wiring, and instrumentation.  Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, SPI, UART) and sensor/actuator integration.  Familiarity with tools like Git, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Multimeter.  Enthusiasm for working in experimental environments involving real hardware and field testing.  Preferred Skills   Direct experience with gas turbine engines or the development of Full Authority Digital Engine Controls (FADEC) .  Experience with flight controllers and associated firmware.  Knowledge of safety-critical software development standards.  Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).  What You’ll Gain  Hands-on exposure to real-world jet engine control systems.  Mentorship from aerospace engineers.  Opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace propulsion technologies.  A stepping stone into advanced roles in flight control, embedded systems, or aerospace R&D.
