About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and passionate GCSE English Language and Literature Tutor to teach students from Year 7 to Year 11 (UK curriculum). The tutor will be responsible for delivering engaging online lessons, improving students' reading, writing, and analytical skills, and preparing them for GCSE examinations (AQA/Edexcel/IGCSE).Key ResponsibilitiesConduct live online classes for GCSE English Language and English Literature students.Teach key components such as:Reading comprehensionCreative and transactional writingPoetry and prose analysisShakespeare and modern textsEssay writing and exam techniques.Prepare students for GCSE exam patterns, AO1, AO2, AO3, and AO4 assessment objectives.Assign homework after each class and ensure timely checking with feedback.Track student progress and help improve grades.Provide monthly student performance reports.Maintain class discipline and create an engaging learning environment.Coordinate with the academic team regarding curriculum and student performance.Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in English Literature / English / Education or related field.Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in English Language and Literature.Experience teaching GCSE / IGCSE / UK curriculum students preferred.Strong understanding of exam marking schemes and assessment objectives (AO1–AO4).Excellent communication and explanation skills.Technical RequirementsLaptop or desktop with a stable internet connection.Good microphone and webcam for online teaching.Familiarity with tools such as Zoom / Google Meet / Google Classroom / digital whiteboards.Preferred SkillsExperience teaching Shakespeare texts (Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, etc.).Ability to teach essay writing structure and critical analysis.Ability to simplify complex literary concepts for students.What We OfferOpportunity to teach international students (UK curriculum).Flexible teaching hours.Supportive academic team and structured curriculum.Long-term teaching opportunity based on performance.
