Our researchdivision focuses on uncovering the attitudes, habits, and emotions that shape financial decision-making across India’s youngest and most dynamic consumer cohort.The OpportunityWe are inviting motivated students and early-career researchers to join our team as ResearchInterns for a paid, immersive study on the financial behaviours of young individuals. This is a hands-on research role where you will design surveys, conduct interviews,collect data, and contribute directly to a study that will influence real product and policy decisions.What You Will Do• Design and conduct structured surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus groups• Collect and organise both quantitative and qualitative data from target respondents• Assist in literature review and background research on financial behaviour• Analyse patterns and themes from collected data using provided tools and frameworks• Prepare interim progress reports and a final research summary presentation• Collaborate with peers and the BAFT research team throughout the studyWhom We Are Looking ForWe are looking for curious, people-oriented, and analytically minded students from any background.You do not need to have a finance degree — in fact, we value diverse perspectives.• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate or postgraduate programme• Strong interest in finance, behavioural science, psychology, economics, or social research• Comfortable speaking to and engaging with a wide variety of people• Basic familiarity with data collection tools (Google Forms, Excel, or similar)• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English or regional languages• Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision• Prior experience in research, journalism, or fieldwork is a plus but not requiredWhat We Offer• Stipend of ₹5,000 for the research study period• Full reimbursement of travel expenses incurred for fieldwork and site visits• Mentorship from experienced researchers and finance professionals• A formal internship certificate upon successful completion• Opportunity to be credited in the final research publication• Flexible working arrangements to accommodate academic schedules• A genuinely meaningful project that contributes to understanding the future of financeDuration & TimelineThe internship runs for 1 to 2 months, with the exact timeline to be confirmed upon joining.
