Job Title: Joint Director / Additional Director – InfrastructureLocation: DelhiExperience: 15-18 yearsQualifications: Master’s degree in civil engineering, Infrastructure Development, Urban Planning, Economics, Public Policy, or Business AdministrationJob PurposeWe are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead the infrastructure vertical, with focused expertise in Roads, Highways, Tunnelling, etc. The role demands strong policy advocacy capability, stakeholder management, research excellence, and leadership to drive national-level initiatives supporting sustainable infrastructure development and economic competitiveness.Key ResponsibilitiesPolicy Advocacy & Government InterfaceLead strategic advocacy efforts with relevant Ministries, regulatory authorities, and infrastructure agencies (e.g., MoRTH, NHAI, NHIDCL, State PWDs).Analyse regulatory frameworks, concession models, PPP norms, environmental/legal mandates, and align industry recommendations for policy reforms.Develop position papers, policy submissions, and sector-specific recommendations.Industry & Stakeholder EngagementBuild and expand networks with key industry players—developers, EPC firms, OEMs, technology providers, investors, and financing agencies.Strengthen engagement with think tanks, research bodies, multilateral organizations, and global chambers.Drive membership growth and enhance value proposition for stakeholders.Strategic Research & InsightsTrack sector trends including infrastructure financing, digital technologies, tunnelling innovations, sustainability (ESG), and asset monetization models.Lead sectoral reports, research publications, and analytical briefs supporting advocacy and market development.Events & Program LeadershipConceptualize and manage national/international conferences, policy summits, B2B/B2G meetings, working groups, and overseas delegations.Drive sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and knowledge collaborations for impactful programs.Business Growth & Project ManagementIdentify and secure commercial opportunities including consulting assignments, sponsored studies, and corporate programs.Develop annual business plans with growth targets and financial accountability.Education and ExperienceMaster’s degree in civil engineering, Infrastructure Development, Urban Planning, Economics, Public Policy, or Business Administration.Prior experience in industry bodies, government relations, EPC/Infrastructure companies, or consulting firms will be highly valued.Strong understanding of PPP frameworks, construction technologies, project financing, concession agreements, and regulatory landscape.Skills (Soft and Functional)Strategic Leadership: Ability to formulate and execute long-term strategies to build and sustain a robust startup and innovation ecosystem.Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders including government officials, industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs.Policy Advocacy: Expertise in analysing, developing, and advocating for policies that support startup growth and ease of doing business.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to represent ASSOCHAM effectively and build networks.Program Management: Proficiency in designing, implementing, and monitoring startup support programs such as incubation, mentorship, and funding initiatives.Financial Acumen: Understanding of funding mechanisms, investment processes, and financial management related to startups and innovation projects.Innovation Mindset: Deep understanding of innovation trends, technology commercialization, and entrepreneurship dynamics.Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.Networking: Strong ability to build partnerships and collaborations nationally and internationally.IT SkillsProficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for document preparation, data analysis, and presentations.Email and Calendar Management using MS Outlook or similar tools for scheduling and coordination.Virtual Meeting Platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet) for webinars, meetings, and online events.Online Research Skills to gather industry data, track policy updates, and prepare briefing notes.Familiar with the use of Artificial Intelligence tools, including ChatGPT and similar platforms, for enhancing efficiency and communication.
