India Lead - Robotics Field Operations

About the Mission & Role:Turing Roboticsis building large scale datasets of human and robot activity to train the next generation of physical AI models. Our goal is to capture huge volumes of high-fidelity data across a diverse range of industries and daily activities.We are looking for aworld-class operational leaderwith a strong technical background to work with us in building our pan-India robotics data collection operation.You will build from the ground-up the team, network, and infrastructure required to scale a range of data collection efforts across the country. You will be responsible for the complete lifecycle from sourcing & managing business partners (factories, kitchens, offices) and operators and managing high value hardware inventory to executing the last mile/" logistics of delivery, training, and data retrieval at scale.Key Responsibilities:1. Build a Scalable India Operation Team Building:Recruit and manage a high-performing local team across business/partner development, technical support, field operations, and quality management. Design for Scale:Establish India as a center of excellence for high volume data collection, creating standard operating procedures that will be used globally.2. Source & Scale Partner Networks Business Partnerships:Drive strategies to partner with companies across diverse sectors (manufacturing, retail, healthcare, logistics) and negotiate access agreements for on-site data collection. Operator Network:Build recruitment funnels to onboard individual workers & operators.3. Manage Operational Execution & Logistics Hardware Management & Deployment:Oversee the import, storage and deployment of high-value hardware across multiple sites in India and provide first line Workflow Design:Test, iterate, refine & scale up the operational playbook for scaling data collection. Legal & Compliance:Work with counsel to ensure robust legal agreements & processes are in place, adhering to local regulations.4. Deliver International Support Playbook Replication:Support international teams in setting up their own partner/operator networks, field operational teams, and logistics chains based on the models validated in India. Cross-Border Standardization:Ensure standardisation of data quality as well as productivity & performance metrics across different territories.What We're Looking For:Experienced Builder:7+ years of commercial & operational experience, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role scaling a gig-economy platform (e.g., Uber, Swiggy, Urban Company), or complex logistics operation in India.Seasoned in Sales & Business Development:Confidence selling novel concepts to a broad spectrum of entities (enterprises, SME's and individuals) as well as negotiating commercial agreements and establishing long-term partnerships.Operational Architect:Highly structured mindset with deep experience building playbooks, managing logistics, and utilizing software/automation tools to manage field operations and ensure high reliability at scale.Technical Background:Top-tier engineering or computer science background - comfort navigating complex topics related to data pipelines, hardware, robotics, and computer vision.Domestic & International Travel:You are comfortable travelling as required to both setup & run domestic sites and support international market launches.Why Join Us?Frontier Tech:Work at the cutting edge of physical AI & robotics.Autonomy:This is a country leadership role; you will have budget authority and strategic freedom.Impact:The data you collect will fundamentally shape how AI perceives and interacts with the physical world.About Turing:Based in San Francisco, California, Turing is the world’s leading research accelerator for frontier AI labs and a trusted partner for global enterprises deploying advanced AI systems.
