About the DepartmentInvest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Key ResponsibilitiesThe team in executing strategies aimed at promoting investments in the Food Processing and Allied Sectors and facilitating potential investment opportunities. The roleentails close coordination with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI),other relevant ministries and departments, industry associations, and private sector entities, to drive investment promotion, facilitation, and policy advocacy efforts. Theincumbent will report to the Team Lead – Food & Allied Sectors. Work in close coordination with team lead to ensure execution of the strategy of the team or a projectEstablish and maintain a comprehensive repository to systematically track developments in the food and allied sectors, encompassing emerging investment signals, policy and regulatory amendments at both the central and state levels, as wellas notable best practices and sectoral initiatives.Support & guide team in preparation of high-quality research, reports, pitch presentation, DPR and briefing notes required for specific projectsFormulate and implement strategies to enhance awareness and foster entrepreneurship across the food and allied sectors, with a focus on promoting innovation, capacity building, and sustainable enterprise development.Coordinate with stakeholders for organising roundtables, workshops, roadshows etc.Facilitate engagement and enablement of investors in the food and allied sectors, while contributing effectively to the achievement of client objectives and strategic outcomes.QualificationsPost-graduate or graduate degree in food processing and related streams.1-4 years of work experience in a front-end role at a consulting firm / developmental agency/ investment bank / investment promotion agency / global corporate working in agriculture and allied sectorsExperience of preparing DPRs, policy briefs, policy analysis, research reportsAbility to collaborate effectively within teams while taking proactive ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and deliverablesStrong commitment to accuracy and professionalismExcellent communication, people and analytical skillsAbility to work amid strict deadlines and on multiple projects
