Deputy Director / Director- Research (Food & Agri)

-Research and Policy Advocacy person will be responsible for co-designing and undertaking research projects/studies and ensure successful delivery of outcomes in a time bound manner. --The candidate will undertake policy advocacy through effectiveengagement with the agri food industry membership, government, think tanks, and other relevant stakeholders. -She/he will work towards identifying new areas of research and policy advocacy that are most relevant to the contemporary policy discourse at the national and global levels. This position requires expertise in economic analysis, statistical methods, and a deep understanding ofthe complex policy dynamics pertaining to the food and agricultural sectors.Execute research projects/studies- Co-design scope of projects/studies- Data collection and analysis- Policy analysis- Stakeholder engagement- Report writing- High impact dissemination2.Drive Policy Advocacy -Identify policy advocacy issues to be taken up. -Articulate the issues considering diversestakeholder views. -Create sustained stakeholder engagement3.Identify future areas of work in the agrifood sector- Areas of work emerging from theongoing/completed projects/studies orstakeholder engagements, and/or participationin policy consultations.4.Develop Project Proposals- Identify RFPs, EoIs, and other calls forproposals.- Ideate with CII FACE team on different topics ofresearch, project, and advocacy.- Seek input from the agrifood industrymembership and other stakeholders.- Prepare new proposals based on areas of workemerging from the ongoing/completedprojects/studies or stakeholder engagements,and/or participation in policy consultations.
