Job Description:
Job DescriptionGATI Foundation - Global Access to Talent from IndiaBackgroundThe world is facing a severe labor shortage. High-income countries are projected to experience a cumulative workforce gap of 40-50 million people by 2030, expanding to 120-160 million by 2040. This shortfall spans several sectors, including healthcare, education, and industrial labor.Meanwhile, India's migrants are one of its biggest exports, generating $125 billion in remittances annually—equivalent to 3% of India's GDP. This figure surpasses any single sector of India's merchandise exports. Yet, while migrants constitute about 1.3% of Indias population, this is substantially lower than other developing countries like Mexico, thePhilippines, or Bangladesh, signaling untapped potential. The developmental impact of remittances is also higher than that of an equivalent amount in goods exports. A study reveals that a 10% rise in remittances reduces poverty by 3.5%, highlighting the potential for economic upliftment through strategic migration. This presents India with a unique opportunity to leverage its demographic advantage and position itself as a trusted migration partner while boosting remittances and enhancing its economic standing. However, structural barriers—including visa restrictions, limited employer awareness, accreditation hurdles, and financial constraints—pose challenges for both workers and host countries. Addressing these barriers is key to unlocking India's full potential in global workforce mobility. Way of WorkGATI Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to advancing global labor mobility and positioning India as a leader in skilled overseas employment through ethical and structured circular migration while empowering local talent. We are dedicated to solving the structural barriers in overseas migration by serving as an ecosystem enabler—bringing together governments, businesses, and nonprofits to create an enabling environment for circular migration. Our priority areas include developing high-impact migration corridors, aligning accreditation of prospective Indian workers to global standards for key job roles and destinations, unlocking financial support for workers, and strengthening worker welfare and protection. By facilitating international migration pathways through strategic public-private partnerships, GATI aims to enable seamless and responsible migration, driving both individual prosperity and national economic growth.Role and ResponsibilitiesWith a primary responsibility of supporting the CEO, you will play a key role in ensuring that GATIs day-to-day operations run smoothly and organizational priorities are executed effectively.Given that GATI is a young and growing organization, the role will require agility, ownership, and comfort with ambiguity.Provide direct administrative and operational support to the CEOManage the CEOs calendar, schedule meetings, draft agendas, take minutes, and track follow-upsServe as a key point of contact for the CEO with internal stakeholders, external partners, and government officialsDraft letters, emails, and other communication on behalf of the CEOHandle confidential information with discretion and sound judgmentMake decisions on how best to prioritize and allocate the CEOs timeOrganize and coordinate team meetings, events, and offsitesManage travel logistics for the CEO (domestic and international)Coordinate external events and logistics as required by the GATI team.Support the CEO in building a strong and values-driven organizational cultureRequired Qualifications, Skills and AbilitiesBachelors degree with 3-5 years of experience supporting senior leaders; experience in a start-up or social impact setting is a plusStrong working knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office and AI applications/agents.Comfortable with digital tools and virtual meeting platformsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishConfident handling multi-stakeholder communication, including with donors and government officialsA positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independentlyComfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment typical of early-stage organizations.
