Designation : Senior manager Procurement - services / SOWLocation : Hyderabad - Hybrid Shift : EMEA shift Skillset : Services Procurement , SOW management , offshore SCC job context and purpose Randstad Enterprise (RE) wishes to become the undisputed market leader in services procurement/SOW management. To support this ambition RE has invested in a Global Services Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) and created a new and innovative SOW Management Framework called Services Procurement 360 (SP360) and is now investing in a new Shared Competency Center (SCC) to be based out of Hyderabad, India. The Services Procurement Offshore SCC Lead role a pivotal new leadership role responsible for the operational management and strategic development of both the India-based Services Procurement SCC concept and team. In this role, you will lead a team of services procurement professionals, ranging from administration-focused Coordinators and Operations Specialists to Services Procurement Specialists and Category Leads, operating in client-dedicated pods. You will ensure that the SCC is fully integrated with each onshore client-specific program delivery team that your offshore CoE team will support by bringing strong operational and technical procurement experience that complement RE’s programs, as well as match each client’s culture. You will operate in a matrix environment, reporting organizationally to RE’s Global Business Services (GBS) structure, with a dotted reporting line, to the various globally based client-focused Services Procurement Directors (SPDs) for day-to-day program-specific execution. This dual reporting model will ensure that client programs benefit from, and adhere to, the best practices defined by RE’s services procurement CoE and that they receive a unified experience. Your responsibilities As the Services Procurement Offshore SCC Lead you will: Team Leadership & Capability Building Directly manage and mentor a diverse team of Services Procurement operational and commercially advanced individual, ensuring they deliver high-quality support to their respective client programs. Mentor and empower client-facing SCC team members to adopt best-in-class administration, stakeholder management, sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management practices. Provide clear direction, set priorities, and manage workload distribution across multiple client programs. Encourage knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across the global CoE and client organizations. Serve as a mentor, developing future procurement leaders through ongoing feedback, coaching, and development planning. Partner with GBS HR to plan retention strategies early, recognizing that SOW-capable talent is a high-value asset. Build and oversee capability progression paths for your team (i.e. from Analyst to Senior Analyst), ensuring continuous professional development. Build and oversee cross-VMSs and cross-clients capability, over time. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, technical excellence, continuous learning and curiosity. Revenue Generation Contribution ● As your day-to-day leadership and delivery will directly contribute to each supported program’s revenue generation (c.€1M p.a.), you will display good commercial acumen. Matrix Management Manage the delicate balance of a dual reporting line, ensuring the SCC team meets the HR/administrative requirements of GBS while satisfying the operational day-to-day requirements defined by the onshore Services Procurement Directors. Oversee the /"client-dedicated pods,/" ensuring that your direct reports act as an integral part of their assigned program's teams rather than as detached outsourced resources. Coordinate onboarding for new SCC joiners in close collaboration with the specific Services Procurement Director of the program the new joiner will support and GBS HR. Collaborate with Service Design and GBS leadership in regular business reviews to discuss successes and structural remediations to continuously improve the SCC. Strategic Value & Optimization ● Contribute to the creation and shaping of the SCC and the setting of a long-term strategy. ● Drive the strategic intent of the SCC by enabling cross-client and cross-VMS resourcing flexibility, allowing the team to scale and support multiple programs as the SCC expands. ● Ensure the SCC reinforces the RE’s Services Procurement 360 framework capability end-to end, supporting programs of varying geographies and sizes. Operational Delivery ● Develop partnering relationships with the client’s ‘power buyers’/business owners of SOW services within your category of expertise. ● Use your interactions with the client to continually demonstrate the value of RSR’s SOW Management services and inspire them to fully optimize RSR’s contracted and potential scope of work. ● Maintain a deep knowledge of the services and solutions offered within your category of expertise, as well as market, supplier, and commercial dynamics. ● Translate this knowledge into a raft of practical, persuasive and highly actionable and impactful insights. Prepare and deliver these insights in a variety of written and presentation styles and formats, as needed. ● Help your SCC team source, mediate, negotiate, and author individual SOW requirements on behalf of the client’s SOW business owners. In this respect you will be operating as an extension of the clients’ Procurement team. ● Support the Operational Leadership of RSR’s MSP programs in ensuring financial goals and objectives are met or exceeded as well as full compliance on all Randstad policies and procedures. ● Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. job requirements education ● University/Post Graduate degree or equivalent professional experience ● CIPS or ISM certified is a plus. experience ● Significant professional experience (12+ years) in Procurement or SOW Management, preferably with a blend of both in house and shared services management. ● Proven experience managing teams in a complex matrix environment, specifically with dual reporting lines (functional vs. operational). ● Demonstrated ability to transition teams from administrative tasks to value-added technical delivery. ● Experience working with offshore/onshore delivery models and cross-cultural teams. ● Demonstrated success in leading large teams through both direct and indirect reports and influencing across complex, matrixed environments ● Strong partnering, management, collaboration, judgement & decision-making abilities, with skills to operate as end-to-end process manager/lead ● High level of commercial acumen and a strong track record of value generation ● Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgement and assertiveness ● Demonstrated ability to advise and influence cross-functionally, both internally and externally ● Builds the capability of others by teaching, coaching and/or mentoring them to do an excellent job for the long-term ● Thinks through issues by seeing the pattern or big picture, brings facts and ideas together, and develops innovative or creative insights. knowledge ● Affinity with different HR/staffing/talent/SOW models. ● Deep understanding of end-to-end procurement lifecycle (needs definition, sourcing, contracting, operational management). ● Ability to think strategically while managing complex operational demands. ● Knowledge of capability progression paths within a procurement center of excellence. ● Digital fluency with Google or Microsoft platforms, e.g. sheets, excel, slides. ● Strong understanding of VMS systems. additional requirements ● Travel (regional and global) may be required at times and depends on group needs and events, we strive for virtual as much as possible. ● Flexibility to work across different time zones to align with US or European leadership as required.
