Job Description:

Broad Role / Responsibilities Lead end-to-end planning, execution and monitoring of large Government AI compute / cloud / digital infrastructure programmes in line with approved scope, timelines and budgets. Establish and run a Programme Management Office (PMO) for AI compute initiatives, including project planning, tracking, governance and reporting. Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, roadmaps and interdependency maps across multiple workstreams and vendors. Coordinate across Government stakeholders, technology partners, system integrators, cloud providers and other ecosystem players for smooth execution. Facilitate decision-making by preparing issue notes, concept notes, options analyses, presentations and status updates for senior officials. Define and institutionalise governance frameworks, review mechanisms, escalation paths and documentation standards for the programme. Track milestones, deliverables, risks and dependencies; implement risk mitigation, issue resolution and change management processes. Ensure adherence to Government policies, guidelines, procurement norms and standards related to IT, cloud, data and security. Support preparation and review of RFPs/RFIs, evaluation processes and contract finalisation from a programme management standpoint. Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations and SLAs; drive corrective actions and performance improvements. Prepare regular MIS, dashboards and progress reports for leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, risks and way forward. Drive outcome-focused execution, ensuring that the programme meets its objectives in terms of capacity, utilisation, user adoption and impact. Broad Experience & Expertise Requirements Minimum 12 years of professional experience. At least 3 years of experience in managing large Government technology programmes, such as national platforms, large IT infrastructure, cloud or data centre programmes, e-governance or digital public infrastructure projects. Educational Qualifications (essential) B.E./B.Tech or Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics / Management (or equivalent). Certification Any relevant certification will be an added advantage.
