Strategic Sourcing & Commercial ManagerLocation: DelhiCompany: MARS CosmeticsRole OverviewMARS Cosmetics is looking for a sharp, high-agency Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Manager to lead vendor discovery, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, and supplier development across packaging, raw materials, components, contract manufacturing, and related categories.This role is for someone who combines strong sourcing ability with hard commercial judgment. The person should be able to identify the right suppliers, benchmark costs, negotiate effectively, reduce dependency risk, and improve total commercial outcomes without compromising quality, speed, or reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesLead strategic sourcing across key categories including packaging, raw materials, accessories, and external manufacturing partnersIdentify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers in India and international marketsDrive commercial negotiations on price, MOQ, payment terms, lead time, tooling, contracts, and service levelsBuild cost benchmarks, compare quotations, and improve total landed costWork closely with R&D, packaging, production, planning, quality, and leadership teams to align sourcing decisions with business prioritiesCreate alternate vendor pipelines and reduce overdependence on single suppliersEvaluate suppliers on capability, quality systems, scale, responsiveness, and commercial competitivenessSupport should-cost analysis and identify savings opportunities through redesign, vendor shifts, or commercial restructuringEnsure disciplined documentation of negotiations, vendor approvals, contracts, and commercial decisionsTrack supplier performance on cost, quality, timelines, and responsivenessWhat We Are Looking For5–10 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor development, or commercial buyingStrong negotiation skills with proven ability to improve commercials and build supplier leverageExperience in FMCG, cosmetics, personal care, packaging, manufacturing, or adjacent sectors preferredStrong understanding of cost structures, quotation analysis, and commercial termsAbility to independently discover and evaluate new vendors rather than only manage existing onesHigh ownership, strong follow-through, and comfort working in a fast-moving environmentStrong analytical and spreadsheet skillsGood commercial judgment, supplier-reading ability, and risk awarenessEthical, disciplined, and detail-orientedPreferredExperience with cosmetics or beauty supply chainExposure to import sourcing / international supplier negotiationsFamiliarity with packaging materials, formulation inputs, and third-party manufacturing ecosystemsSuccess in This Role Looks LikeBetter suppliers found fasterLower total costs, not just lower quoted pricesStronger payment terms and improved commercial structuresReduced vendor concentration riskFaster turnaround and better supplier accountabilityClear commercial recommendations backed by data and judgment
