UK (Year-End Accounts) Manager

Job descriptionUK Accounting Manager – Year-End Accounts (FRS 102 / 105) The RoleWe are looking for an experienced UK Accounting Manager to take ownership of UK year-end accounts delivery, quality, and team leadership. This is a senior role for a technically strong accountant who enjoys leading teams, maintaining high standards, and owning outcomes — not just reviewing work. You will act as the UK accounting authority for year-end engagements, working closely with UK stakeholders while leading and developing a high-performing accounting team. What You’ll Be Responsible For- Owning the preparation, review, and finalisation of FRS 102 (1A) and FRS 105 accounts for UK clients- Leading and managing a team to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery- Providing technical guidance, structured reviews, and detailed feedback- Acting as a key point of contact for UK stakeholders- Working independently with minimal senior oversight- Supporting senior leadership with reports, trackers, and efficiency metrics- Driving continuous improvement in processes and controls- Maintaining high standards of presentation and professional judgement Systems & ToolsCCH, IRIS, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel What This Role Is (And Is Not)This role IS a hands-on leadership position with ownership of UK accounting quality.This role is NOT a pure review or coordination role.
