Product Manager, Platform

We are looking for a Product Manager: Platform who can help build the foundational systems that power growth, personalization, experimentation, and analytics at scale.The role:You will work at the intersection of engineering, data, and growth to build micro-services, experimentation frameworks, internal tools, APIs, and instrumentation that enable JoVE to innovate rapidly and scale reliably.Responsibilities:Define and drive the roadmap for core platform services and micro-service architecturePartner closely with the engineering team to design scalable, modular systemsEstablish product instrumentation standards to capture meaningful metrics across the platformDesign and launch APIs, internal tools, and reusable services that enable faster product experimentationBuild systems that support personalization, content discovery and delivery, accessibility, and analyticsOwn platform KPIs including reliability, latency, adoption, and experimentation velocityWork with data teams to define event tracking frameworks and analytics infrastructureReduce technical and vendor dependencies by identifying build vs. buy opportunitiesEnsure platform decisions improve product velocity across growth, content, and enterprise use casesDrive innovation at scale by enabling rapid feature iteration across global marketsRequirements:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree2-5 years of Product Management experience Experience building products in EdTech, SaaS, marketplaces, healthtech, or consumer techExposure to backend systems, APIs, or micro-services driven architecturesFamiliarity with SQL, event tracking, data pipelines, or experimentation frameworksExperience defining and tracking product metrics beyond surface-level dashboards to measure and improve business performanceResults-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment Why Join JoVE?A competitive compensation package.You will make a direct impact in accelerating science research and education.Opportunity to work with global teams and in an environment that promotes innovation and collaboration.Our strong promotion from within culture draws a clear path to advance your career with us
