The firm was founded by experienced professionals who are capable of providing advice on complex transactions, investment advisory, and management. Their team has the valuable perspective of both ‘buy’ and ‘sell’ side negotiations across multiple transactions. The firm also serves as the Asset Manager for a Category III AIF, the Amaya Growth Fund.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role located in New Delhi. Phoenix Advisers is seeking a Compliance Officer to oversee all compliance for the company and for the Category III AIF. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for keeping abreast of all regulations and laws related to Tax, Accounting / Audit, RBI / FEMA and SEBI rules & regulations. They will ensure compliance with all tax, regulatory, FEMA and SEBI-related matters. Role, Qualifications & Experience Role, Skills, Experience and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Accounting or FinanceProfessional accounting qualification, preferably a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Minimum of 7 years of accounting and financial reporting experience, with at least 3-4 years of experience at a senior management levelThorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and taxation,Experience in working with external consultants/advisers.Excellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to exercise sound judgement, multitask, and prioritise competing demandsAbility to balance theoretical and practical solution implementationFamiliarity with FEMA rules and regulations to onboard Foreign / NRI Investors and to comply with rules for the Feeder Fund.Ability to work with external auditors to close financial statements within predetermined timelines.Oversee taxation returns and other compliance filings with the assistance of an external adviser.Prepare MIS reports as required.To fulfil compliance with SEBI rules and regulations for the Category III AIF and serve as Compliance Officer of the Fund.
