Assistant Manager – Taxation (Including both Direct and Indirect Taxation)Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-orientedAssistantManager – Taxationto oversee all taxation matters related to bothDirect and Indirect Taxes , includingGST compliance ,TDS ,Income Tax , andtax litigation . The role will also involve financial reporting, reconciliation, and providing strategic insights into tax planning, risk management, and cost optimization for Vianaar and its group entities.Key Responsibilities Direct Taxation: Ensure compliance with all Direct Tax regulations including TDS, Advance Tax, and Income Tax. Prepare and review TDS reconciliations and advance tax calculations for both Delhi and Goa operations. Manage statutory reporting and support direct tax due diligence exercises. Handle assessments, appeals, and replies to notices from the Income Tax Department. Indirect Taxation: Oversee complete GST compliance including preparation, filing, and reconciliation of GST returns. Match internal records with the GST portal and address any discrepancies. Manage queries, audits, and notices from the GST authorities. Tax Litigation: Represent the company in tax assessments, audits, appeals, and litigation before relevant authorities. Prepare responses, documentation, and briefs for legal counsel related to ongoing tax matters. Liaise with external consultants, advocates, and government authorities to ensure timely resolution of disputes. Reporting & Financial Insights: Share monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance and costing reports with the reporting manager. Support in cash flow planning, cost overhead analysis, and financial projections. Contribute to cost control initiatives and drive operational excellence through tax and financial insights.Desired Skills & Experience In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws and practical experience with tax litigation. Experience handling tax compliance and regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions. Strong analytical and documentation skills; ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders. Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally with finance and legal teams.Qualifications Chartered Accountant -Inter / CMA. Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in taxation, including exposure to litigation. Experience in the real estate sector will be an added advantage.
