Business Head - (Mining Operations)

Experience Required:10+ Reporting To:Director Working Hours:9:30 AM – 5:30 PMRole Overview – Business Head (Mining Operations) Oversee, monitor, and manage the company’s mining-related business operations. Ensure efficient utilization of leased and outsourced mining areas. Maintain full compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. Handle transparent and effective liaison with government and regulatory authorities. Supervise and review daily operations of pits or mineral deposits. Provide strategic oversight, as only ~20% of mining areas are company-managed and the remaining operations are outsourced. Protect company interests across all mining locations and outsourced partnerships. Ensure smooth functioning of operations with regular performance checks. Manage lease pricing negotiations, renewals, and annual contract reviews responsibly.Responsibilities Monitor daily mining operations on company-managed pits and deposits. Ensure all mines operate as per approved mining plans, schedules, and quality parameters. Coordinate with internal staff handling lease documentation to ensure timely processing of lease applications and renewals. Follow up with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and smooth approval processes. Assist in evaluating pits/deposits for lease-out and ensure appropriate lease pricing based on deposit quality and market standards. Provide regular operational updates to senior management, including production reports, lease status, and compliance issues. Coordinate and streamline communication between internal teams (lease documentation, finance, legal) and external contractors or regulatory bodies.Qualifications & Desired Profile Preferably from a mining industry background with relevant experience in mining operations, deposit evaluation, lease management, or mining business management. Ideally experienced in a mining company or a similar industrial environment. Strong understanding of mining operations, deposit valuation, lease pricing, and regulatory/statutory compliance processes for mining leases in India. Ability and flexibility to travel for field visits, meetings with authorities, and site inspections as required.
