PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To focus on the areas of revenue generation, Policy Advocacy, Advisory, Engagement, Research, relationship management and project management with,Government – Central and statesBusinesses/IndustryEmbassies, Research organisations, other Chambers.Overseas stakeholdersPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: The main areas in which this role must get results in order to achieve the organisation’s vision.REVENUE GENERATION: THROUGH PROJECTS, RESEARCH, ADVOCACY AND EVENTS. Ability to generate sponsorships from the corporate sectorAbility to create & manage promotions to increase foot falls in events1-2 major events every year (flagship events)Prioritise research through paid projectsAbility to launch social media marketing campaignsPOLICY DEVELOPMENT & ADVOCACY/RESEARCH & REPORT CREATION Ability to decide areas for policy changes through interaction with membersAbility to manage multiple projects around policy advocacyAbility to identify emerging Indian and global trends in relevant domains.Ability to understand advanced contemporary business issuesPursue representations /memoranda to the government and to get them resolvedWTO and free trade agreements related surveys/researchPEOPLE MANAGEMENT Inclusiveness, delegation, goal/task orientation, Prioritization, and managing career aspirations of team membersEnsuring a significant contribution being made by all team members.Contributing towards their productivity and performance.COUNCIL MANAGEMENT (Sector, State, International councils) Membership – To strengthen Industry reach, appoint members, while retaining current members.Ensure the financial viability of the Councils.Relationship management with membersCarrying out research, policy advocacy, and projects under the aegis of the CouncilsCouncils are a group of industry/corporate sector members engaging with the organisation on policy advocacy, research, events, and government interactions.
