Director / Vice Chancellor ( Engineering Background)

Role Overview The Director / Vice Chancellor will provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership to the Institution. This is a senior leadership role responsible for advancing the Institution's vision of academic excellence, research innovation, industry collaboration, and student success. Key Responsibilities Lead the academic and administrative functions of the School of Engineering, including program planning, curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and performance management. Foster a culture of high-quality teaching, impactful research, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Build strong industry and academic linkages to enhance experiential learning, placements, and funded research. Ensure continuous improvement in teaching methodologies, course content, and student outcomes aligned with accreditation standards (NBA/NAAC). Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and infrastructure development for the School. Promote faculty development, mentorship, and capacity-building initiatives. Represent the School in academic councils, regulatory bodies, and external forums. Desired Candidate Profile Academic Qualifications : Ph.D. in Engineering (preferably in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, or related disciplines) from a reputed institution. Experience : Minimum 20 years of teaching/research/industry experience in a reputed academic institution, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. Proven record of academic leadership, research publications, and successful collaborations. Strong understanding of AICTE/UGC regulations and accreditation frameworks. Visionary leadership with excellent communication, team-building, and strategic planning skills.
