Role overview We are seeking a Software License Compliance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in License Compliance and Anti-Piracy, along with strong negotiation and relationship management skills. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth investigations, analyzing software usage data from technical tools such as Phone Home or telemetry systems, preparing detailed reports and case documentation, and negotiating commercial agreements with companies found to be non-compliant. The role also involves managing communication with legal counsel, sales team, and other involved parties, ensuring that all cases are handled professionally, efficiently, and in line with company policies. This is a highly collaborative and impactful position within our global compliance team, offering the chance to contribute to strategic anti-piracy initiatives and protect the value of our software solutions. SolidCAM’s License Compliance Program safeguards the company’s intellectual property by identifying and addressing unauthorized software use globally through advanced monitoring technologies. This program protects both SolidCAM and its customers from the legal, financial, and cybersecurity risks associated with unlicensed software. Our team’s mission is to reduce non-compliant software use by constructively addressing issues and creating opportunities for the future. The License Compliance team collaborates closely with sales partners, legal experts, and internal departments to identify misuse, engage with infringing parties, and resolve cases through negotiated solutions or, when necessary, legal action. Key responsibilities · Analyse licence compliance reports and intelligence. · Prepare and manage case files, ensuring accurate documentation. · Engage with companies and reach commercial agreements. · Communicate professionally and efficiently with legal partners and third parties. · Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective service delivery. · Manage a case pipeline and drive successful case closures. · Maintain accurate and up-to-date records. Skills & Requirements · Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in areas such as license compliance and anti-piracy within the software industry, preferably in CAD/CAM. · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic background. · Proficiency in English is required. · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with peers and leadership. · Skilled in objection handling. · Strong commitment to integrity and confidentiality. · A business ownership mindset to monitor revenue streams and prioritize tasks efficiently. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. · Attention to detail – ability to meticulously track and document case progress, correspondence, and outcomes. · Organisational skills – capable of managing large volumes of data and records across multiple cases and systems. · Data management – proficient in maintaining and updating records using CRM systems, Excel, or case management tools. · Communication skills – able to clearly document key actions, findings, and decisions for internal stakeholders and legal partners. · Occasional travel may be required for training sessions or key project meetings. Preferred qualifications · Additional languages - an advantage. · Knowledge of Compliance Software: Familiarity with Revenera Compliance Intelligence · Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
