Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and results-drivenBusiness Development Executiveto expand and strengthen our presence in theDefence vertical . The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of theDefence domain or Defence customers , including Government and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The role involvescustomer visits , generating newsales inquiries ,maintaining client relationships , and ensuring business growth through strategic sales initiatives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Client Engagement & Business Development: Conductregular visitsto Government and PSU clients to identify opportunities and promote company solutions. Establish and maintainstrong relationshipswith existing customers to ensurerepeat business . Generate andfollow upon new business leads to expand customer base within theDefence sector . Identify potentialpartnershipsand opportunities to collaborate on government projects and initiatives. 2. Market Expansion & Lead Generation: Actively explore and developnew markets , targeting key stakeholders in theDefence ecosystem . Gather intelligence onmarket trends, competitor activities , and emerging opportunities. Engage in networking activities, attendindustry events, trade shows, and Defence exhibitionsto generate potential leads. 3. Travel & Customer Interaction: Willingness totravel locally and to outstation marketsto meet clients and explore business opportunities. Conductface-to-face interactionswith Defence customers to understand their requirements and suggest appropriate solutions. 4. Sales Records & Reporting: Maintainaccurate recordsof sales activities, inquiries, and customer interactions. Preparepresentations and sales reportsfor periodic reviews and performance assessment. Provide insights and recommendations forbusiness strategy adjustmentsto improve sales effectiveness. 5. Target Achievement & Growth Strategy: Work proactively towardachieving predefined sales targetswithin stipulated timelines. Develop and implementsales strategiesaligned with company objectives to boost revenue and market penetration. Collaborate with the internal team to ensureseamless executionof sales and post-sales support. Qualifications & Skills: Prior experience inDefence business development or Defence salesis highly preferred. Strong understanding ofGovernment procurement processesand Defence industry trends. Excellentnegotiation, communication, and relationship-buildingskills. Ability to workindependently , take initiative, and drive business growth. Willingness to travel extensively as per business requirements.
