Subject to being on the payroll and not serving a notice period.City: MumbaiRole OverviewThe Art Director is responsible for shaping the visual identity of campaigns, brands, and digitalexperiences. This role demands a highly creative thinker who can conceptualise, design, anddeliver compelling visual communication across platforms. The Art Director will oversee designexecution, guide junior designers, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure the final creative outputmeets high brand and quality standards.The ideal candidate is someone who blends strategic thinking, aesthetic excellence, storytellingability and leadership, while staying up to date with contemporary design trends and technology.Key ResponsibilitiesCreative Strategy & Conceptualization· Develop and present creative concepts, visual strategies, and campaign ideas aligned with brandobjectives.· Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute original ideas that push creative boundaries.· Transform briefs into strong, visually engaging concepts across print, digital, films, social media, andintegrated campaigns.Design & Visual Development· Oversee and guide the creation of visual designs, illustrations, layouts, and brand assets.· Create high-quality design outputs, ensuring consistency in typography, colour palettes,iconography, imagery, and overall brand aesthetics.· Provide direction for photoshoots, videos, and motion graphics to ensure alignment with brand andcampaign vision.· Ensure pixel-perfect design delivery across all mediums.Team Leadership & Collaboration· Mentor and supervise designers, junior art directors, and freelancers.· Review work at various stages and provide detailed feedback to elevate the quality of output.· Work closely with copywriters to create cohesive and impactful campaigns.· Coordinate with marketing, product, client-servicing, and strategy teams to align creative decisionswith business goals.Project Management· Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within expected timelines.· Ensure workflows run smoothly from ideation to execution.· Maintain clear and open communication with stakeholders at all stages of the project cycle.Brand Building· Strengthen and evolve brand visual identity by developing style guides, templates, and brandsystems.· Ensure all design work reinforces brand consistency and storytelling.· Identify opportunities for innovation across various touchpoints.Quality Control· Review and approve final creative materials before delivery.· Uphold the highest design standards and ensure error-free output.· Constantly push for creative excellence within the team.Skills and Competencies RequiredTechnical Skills· Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and motiongraphics tools (After Effects preferred).· Strong understanding of photography, videography, lighting, and visual composition.· Skilled in branding, typography, and digital-first design.· Ability to create storyboards, mood boards, and visual references.Creative and Strategic Skills· Excellent visualisation, storytelling, and conceptual thinking skills.· Strong aesthetic sense with the ability to balance creativity and brand objectives.· Ability to translate abstract concepts into compelling visual narratives.Leadership and Communication· Strong team management, delegation, and mentoring abilities.· Excellent communication and presentation skills.· Ability to articulate creative rationale and pitch ideas to internal teams and stakeholders.Other Competencies· Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.· Proactive mindset with an eagerness to experiment and innovate.· Understanding of consumer behaviour, marketing insights, and campaign strategy is a bonus.Qualifications· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Advertising, or relatedfields.· Minimum 7+ years of professional design experience with 3-4 years in advertising or digital-firstagencies.· A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, campaign execution, design craft, andversatility.What Success Looks Like in This Role· Delivery of consistently high-quality, impactful creative work.· Effective leadership that elevates the creative capabilities of the team.· Strong alignment between brand identity, campaign goals, and visual expression.· Ability to inspire innovation and maintain high creative standardsWork CultureWe are a forward-thinking company that values the growth and development of our team members.We offer an exciting salary package, medical insurance, and an annual week off for the entire agency from Christmas to the new year (this is over and above your regular leave entitlement), and an energising atmosphere for professional advancement.
