This role demands a practitioner who can build and enforce a cohesive design language across digital, print, and broadcast formats — while managing a team of designers and coordinating closely with the Video Lead and Content Lead to ensure unified creative output.The incumbent will serve as the primary quality authority for all graphic and visual deliverables, ensuring every output reflects institutional credibility, narrative alignment, and visual consistency. This is a leadership role requiring both hands-on design capability and strong team management skills.02 KEY RESPONSIBILITIESVisual Content Oversight & Quality Control■ Oversee all graphic and visual content production across the vertical, ensuring alignment with approved brand and narrative frameworks.■ Quality-gate all design outputs — static graphics, infographics, social creatives, print layouts, and digital assets — before publication or submission.■ Enforce design standards, visual style guides, and brand consistency protocols across all formats and platforms.■ Review and approve final visual outputs from junior designers and external vendors before release.Brand Identity & Design Guidelines■ Develop, maintain, and update the official design language and brand identity system for all communication outputs.■ Create and distribute comprehensive design guidelines covering typography, colour palettes, iconography, layout grids, and tone-of-voice visual cues.■ Ensure all visual assets adhere to institutional communication standards and official style directives.■ Adapt design systems for multi-format use — digital, print, broadcast lower-thirds, social media, and presentation decks.Production Schedule & Team Management■ Manage the design production calendar, ensuring all visual deliverables are completed on schedule and within scope.■ Assign, track, and review tasks across the design team, maintaining clear workflows and daily output targets.■ Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, escalating resource or timeline conflicts appropriately.■ Mentor and develop junior designers, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and creative excellence.Cross-Vertical Coordination■ Coordinate closely with the Video Lead to ensure visual consistency between static and motion content.■ Collaborate with the Content Lead to align design output with narrative priorities and editorial timelines.■ Represent the design vertical in inter-team planning meetings, war room sessions, and rapid-response scenarios.■ Liaise with external creative agencies, print vendors, and digital platforms as required.Stakeholder & Senior Leadership Liaison■ Present visual concepts, design rationale, and production updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.■ Incorporate feedback from the PR Head and leadership into design revisions, managing expectations on timelines and creative constraints.■ Support rapid-response communication requirements with agile design solutions that maintain quality under pressure.03 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS■ 5 to 10 years of experience in design leadership, art direction, or visual communications — preferably within media, publishing, or institutional communication environments.■ Demonstrated ability to build and manage design teams, oversee multi-format production, and enforce quality standards at scale.■ Strong command of brand identity systems, design guidelines, and visual storytelling principles.■ Proficiency in industry-standard design tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), Figma, and Canva.■ Experience working with or for large public-facing, policy-driven, or institutional organisations — with an understanding of formal approval workflows and communication protocols — is strongly preferred.■ Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.04 PREFERRED SKILLS■ Experience designing for campaigns, public sector initiatives, or national-level communication mandates.■ Familiarity with broadcast design — lower-thirds, title cards, motion graphics for news and documentary formats.■ Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices for public communication.■ Ability to manage design output in high-volume, rapid-response environments with multiple concurrent workstreams.■ Prior experience coordinating with video and content teams within an integrated creative vertical.■ Understanding of digital-first design for social media, web, and OTT platforms alongside traditional print formats.05 KEY ATTRIBUTES■ Sharp visual judgement with a strong sense of institutional aesthetics and formal communication design.■ High attention to detail — able to spot inconsistencies in typography, colour, alignment, and brand compliance.■ Decisive creative leadership under time pressure and in war-room settings.■ Strong sense of institutional responsibility, discretion, and confidentiality.■ Collaborative by nature — able to work with writers, editors, and video professionals to deliver cohesive outputs.■ Meticulous approach to production scheduling, version control, and asset management.Content & Creative Vertical | New Delhi, India | Confidential
