Study Design Specialist

Job Title: Study Design ConsultantRequired experience: 5+ yearsThe Solution Consultant works directly with clients to develop strategies that expand the adoption of our product suite. This role guides customers through effective clinical trials and is responsible for configuring our products to meet their needs. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and delivering training—both in-person and remote—and providing general consulting support. The Solution Consultant collaborates with Sales, Product, and other teams to address customer requirements, manage project deliverables, and ensure successful outcomes. Roles and Responsibilities:Participate in study configuration activities according to best design practices.Interpret protocols, study synopses, and customer specifications to guide design decisions (e.g., form design, edit checks, notifications, and other configurations).Gather requirements and assist with development and testing activities, including integrations and data migrations that may involve third-party coordination, depending on study complexity.Support consulting initiatives on special projects, providing solutions that address customer and business needs.Collaborate with clients to develop EDC form specifications, offering recommendations on system design and best practices.Maintain project plans, coordinate milestones including UAT activities, and provide status updates to ensure successful and on-time delivery.Deliver training via web-based sessions and occasional in-person workshops, including specific programs such as Super User Training. Assist the sales team with product demonstrations, prototype implementations, and estimating/quoting study builds.Work with product teams to report bugs, suggest software improvements, and refine training materials.Contribute to best practices, SOPs, knowledge base articles, and internal work instructions to improve study build efficiency and effectiveness.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.2+ years of experience in one or more of the following: solutions consulting, pre-sales engineering, business analysis, product implementation, or clinical research operations — preferably within SaaS, healthcare, or life sciences technology. Solid understanding of clinical research processes, data management, and healthcare interoperability standards.Proven ability to deliver engaging product demonstrations, requirements gathering sessions, and solution presentations to both technical and business stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business value.Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a consultative approach to addressing customer needs. Prior experience with eClinical systems (EDC, ePRO, CTMS, RTSM, or related platforms).Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to clinical research (e.g., GCP, 21 CFR Part 11).Experience collaborating with sales, product, success, and engineering teams to design and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.Knowledge of cloud platforms and contemporary data security practices.Skilled in developing solution documentation, proposals, and technical diagrams. Strong technical aptitude, including APIs, data integrations, and SaaS platforms.Company Overview:Aventior is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions for businesses across a wide range of industries.
