With world-class infrastructure, a legacy of excellence, and strong industry partnerships, AAFT offers students a dynamic environment to master their craft and evolve into confident, industry-ready professionals.Key Responsibilities:Academic Leadership:Design, develop, and deliver high-quality academic content in still photography.Continuously upgrade curriculum to align with contemporary industry standards and creative trends.Supervise and contribute to academic assessments, student evaluations, and learning outcomes.Faculty and Staff Mentorship:Mentor junior faculty members and ensure academic excellence across the department.Encourage faculty participation in professional development, exhibitions, and research.Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment.Student Engagement and Development:Guide students through hands-on training, critiques, and portfolio development.Mentor students for photography contests, exhibitions, and internships.Support academic advising, career guidance, and progression.Industry Collaboration and Events:Establish ties with professional photographers, studios, and creative agencies.Organize industry talks, photography walks, workshops, and masterclasses.Represent the school at external forums, conferences, and art showcases.Administrative Duties:Participate in academic planning, timetabling, and departmental meetings.Assist in admissions, promotional activities, and program reviews.Ensure optimal use of lab/studio resources and adherence to safety standards.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).Minimum 1 year of professional/teaching experience in photography.Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in various photography genres (studio, fashion, editorial, product, documentary, etc.).Proven academic or institutional experience, with curriculum planning and mentoring exposure.Excellent communication, leadership, and classroom management skills.Familiarity with photography software (Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One, Lightroom) and studio equipment.
