Corporate Tax Manager

Position Overview The AM / Manager - Taxation will be responsible for ensuring that the organization’s tax obligations are met accurately and timely, while also managing risks and exploring opportunities for tax optimization. This position involves close interaction with external authorities and internal departments to ensure compliance with GST, income tax, and other regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Goods and Services Tax (GST) Compliance and Management - Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of monthly GSTR 1 and GSTR 3B returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.GST Advisory: Provide ongoing advice to internal teams on GST applicability, classification of goods/services (HSN codes), and determining the correct tax rates. This ensures that all transactions are compliant with GST law.GST Audit: Lead and manage the GST audit process by preparing necessary documentation, ensuring all records are in order, and addressing queries raised during the audit promptly and effectively.Income Tax Refunds, Rectifications, and TDS - Refund Processing: Proactively manage the timely processing of income tax refunds, ensuring that all documentation is submitted correctly to the tax department.Rectifications: Ensure the timely rectification of any errors or discrepancies in the records of the Income Tax Department, minimizing delays in the tax process.TDS Compliance: Ensure that all applicable Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) is deducted accurately, deposited within deadlines, and filed through proper quarterly TDS returns.Income Tax Assessments and Appeals - Income Tax Notices: Respond to income tax notices promptly, ensuring that queries are addressed to avoid penalties or legal issues.Income Tax Assessments: Oversee the assessment process, ensuring that assessments are completed in a manner that minimizes tax liabilities or avoids unnecessary additions.Appeals: File appeals against adverse orders or assessments in a timely manner. Ensure thorough preparation for hearings, including compiling necessary evidence and preparing arguments to obtain a favorable order from the authorities.Manage and coordinate tax auditsKeep abreast of development in tax laws, regulations and practices,Skills & Competencies:Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returnsStrong understanding of tax planning strategies and experience in managing indirect taxes, including Goods and Services Tax (GST).Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detailsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.Ability to meet deadlines and find solutions to problemsFamiliarity with emerging technologies in the car rental market.Educational Qualification:Preferred Chartered Accountant (CA) Experience: The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in direct and indirect tax profileAbout International Travel House Ltd.:International Travel House (ITH), an ISO 9001:2015 company, which was also the first listed Travel Company in India, is a complete travel management organization with a presence in 17 cities.
