To date, we have disbursed nearly USD 3 billion in working capital credit to over 800,000 retailers and last-mile merchants, partnering with 75+ anchor corporates including Fortune 500 companies. We are backed by marquee global investors including Tiger Global, Google, and Sequoia Capital.We are at an exciting inflection point — profitable, growing, and on a defined path to an IPO within the next 2–3 years. We are now building the leadership team that will take us through that transition and beyond.The OpportunityThis is a founding leadership role. The Head of Finance will be a core member of the executive team, responsible for building and owning the full finance function as the company scales toward a public listing. This individual will work directly with the co-founders and the board, and will be the primary interface with investors, regulators, and future institutional stakeholders.The role demands someone who combines rigorous financial expertise in regulated financial services with the agility and ownership mindset of a senior leader at a high-growth company. NBFC regulatory fluency is non-negotiable.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & StrategyOwn and drive the company's overall financial strategy in alignment with business objectives and the IPO roadmapPartner with the CEO and co-founders on capital allocation, business model decisions, and strategic planningBuild and lead a high-performing finance team across FP&A, accounting, treasury, compliance, and investor relationsIPO Readiness & Investor RelationsLead all aspects of IPO preparation — financial reporting standards (Ind AS), DRHP readiness, internal controls, and audit managementEstablish and manage relationships with investment banks, institutional investors, rating agencies, and regulators in preparation for the public listingBuild investor relations infrastructure including reporting frameworks, disclosure policies, and stakeholder communicationsFinancial Planning & AnalysisOwn the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial modellingDeliver actionable insights to the leadership team on unit economics, portfolio performance, cost efficiency, and growth leversDrive board-level financial reporting and management information systemsNBFC Regulatory & ComplianceEnsure full compliance with RBI regulations governing NBFCs — including prudential norms, capital adequacy, ALM, provisioning, and fair practicesManage relationships with RBI, SEBI (post-IPO), credit rating agencies, and co-lending partnersOversee statutory audits, internal audits, and all regulatory filingsManage ALM (Asset-Liability Management) and ensure robust liquidity risk frameworks are in placeTreasury & Capital MarketsLead fundraising strategy — equity, debt, and structured finance — in partnership with the co-foundersManage relationships with lenders, banks, and co-lending partners; negotiate and structure borrowing linesOversee treasury operations, liquidity management, and interest rate riskAccounting, Controls & TaxEnsure the integrity of financial statements under Ind AS and maintain audit-ready books at all timesDesign and implement scalable financial controls, processes, and systems appropriate for a listed NBFCOversee direct and indirect tax compliance, transfer pricing, and tax planningCandidate ProfileExperience & Background15–20 years of overall experience, with meaningful exposure to financial services or NBFC / regulated lending environments — not all experience needs to be in financial servicesDemonstrated experience in IPO preparation, or having served as a senior finance leader through a public listing, is strongly preferredPrior experience in fintech, digital lending, or supply chain finance will be an advantageTrack record of building and leading finance functions — not just managing themTechnical & Regulatory KnowledgeDeep working knowledge of RBI guidelines governing NBFCs — ALM, capital adequacy, provisioning norms, and reporting requirementsStrong command of Ind AS financial reporting, statutory audit management, and internal controlsFluent in capital markets, debt structuring, and co-lending frameworksExperience with SEBI listing obligations and disclosure requirements (or willingness to build this rapidly)Leadership & Personal AttributesHigh ownership orientation — comfortable operating without full infrastructure and building from the ground upStrong executive presence; capable of representing the company to institutional investors, board members, and regulatorsSharp analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear strategic recommendationsCollaborative, low-ego, and effective at working across functions in a founder-led organisationQualificationsChartered Accountant (CA) — mandatory15–20 years of post-qualification experience in financial services or fintechBased in or willing to relocate to Delhi NCRThis is a discreet search.
