Position: Senior US Tax Preparer / ReviewerLocation: Delhi NCR (Onsite / Hybrid depending on policy)Department: US TaxationReporting to: Tax Manager / DirectorRole SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior US Tax Preparer / Reviewer to join our US Tax team. This role involves preparing and reviewing complex US tax returns, ensuring compliance with US tax regulations, and maintaining high quality standards in deliverables.The Senior Preparer / Reviewer will play a key role in managing tax engagements, mentoring junior team members, and serving as a critical link between the internal tax team and US CPA firms or clients. The position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple engagements in a deadline-driven environment.This role is central to ensuring efficient delivery of tax compliance services while supporting the firm’s objective of providing high-quality offshore support to US CPA firms and clients.What Success Looks Like in This RoleSuccess in this role means consistently delivering accurate and technically sound tax returns, identifying potential tax issues early, and ensuring work prepared by junior team members meets the firm’s quality standards. A successful candidate will improve workflow efficiency, guide junior staff, proactively resolve technical issues, and contribute to building a reliable and scalable tax preparation process.Key ResponsibilitiesTax Preparation & ReviewPrepare and review complex US federal and state tax returns including Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.Review work prepared by junior preparers and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US tax laws.Prepare and review supporting schedules, tax workpapers, and documentation.Identify tax adjustments, credits, deductions, and potential tax planning opportunities.Technical OversightInterpret and apply US tax laws, IRS regulations, and filing requirements.Conduct tax research on technical matters and document conclusions.Resolve complex tax issues and escalate matters to managers when necessary.Engagement ManagementManage multiple tax engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Coordinate with managers and US counterparts on engagement requirements and deliverables.Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal processes and quality standards.Team Leadership & MentoringGuide and mentor junior tax preparers and reviewers.Provide constructive feedback and training to improve team capability and quality.Assist in onboarding and developing new team members.Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and documentation standards.Support implementation of best practices in tax preparation and review processes.QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.CA / CA Inter / CPA / EA / CPA preferred.Experience3-5 years of experience in US tax preparation and review.Strong experience working with US CPA firms or offshore tax preparation teams.Experience handling complex tax returns and supervising junior staff.Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of US Individual and Business Taxation.Experience with Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S, including multi-state filings.Familiarity with tax software such as CCH, ProSeries, UltraTax, Drake, or similar platforms.Ability to perform tax research and interpret IRS guidelines.Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.High attention to detail and commitment to quality.Strong organizational and time management skills, especially during tax season.Why Join UsWork with global clients and US CPA firms on complex tax engagementsOpportunity to build deep expertise in US tax compliance and advisory supportCollaborative team environment with strong learning opportunitiesClear growth path within an expanding international tax practiceCompensationThe compensation for this role will be competitive and aligned with prevailing industry standards for US taxation professionals in the outsourcing and professional services sector.
