In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for all finance related inquiries, categorize transactions and maintain financial trackers, oversee all AR and AP, and lead month-end close.Founded in December of 2024, attnCapital is on track to surpass 8-figures in early 2026. To support this lightning fast growth, we are looking for a scrappy, organized, and meticulous Senior Staff Accountant to take ownership of our finance processes so our leadership team can focus on business development.Finance is core to our company’s services. We manage digital marketing campaigns for top advertisers that run on some of the world’s most recognizable publishers. We bill advertisers on behalf of our publishers and pay them monthly. Because of this, finance is core to both our company offerings and our customer experience with your work at the center.This dynamic role provides excellent opportunities for professional growth. You will interface directly with our founding team and clients. You'll have the opportunity to help develop finance processes for a fast growing US company. For the right person, this role has potential for considerable salary increases and career advancement.Responsibilities:Email and Slack Communications. Efficiently organize and monitor daily communications in Slack and our shared accounting inbox. Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to resolve billing and payment issues. Achieve inbox 0 daily.Commission/Referral Payments. Track and report on commissions for the sales team, as well as referral partners. Ensure commision/referral payments are not released until associated AR has been collected.Categorize Bank Transactions. Monitor and categorize bank transactions in Quickbooks including deposits, transfers, and withdrawals. Accurately categorize transactions to proper accounts.Payroll and 1099 Payments. We are a lean team, but need someone to oversee payroll for the few W2 employees we have, as well as contractor payments.Accounts Payable & Receivable. Generate invoices/bills in Quickbooks. Track all AR and AP in dedicated trackers to make it easy for leadership to review.Data Entry. Accurately enter financial data into Quickbooks and financial trackers ensuring completeness and correctness. Maintain accuracy of our finance hub.Month-End Closings. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, etc. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger accounts. Ensure all financial activities are completed on time.Reporting. Prepare various financial reports for internal use, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Team/Stakeholder Collaboration. Work closely with team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth operational workflows. Interface with CPA for tax planning and preparation.ResultsFinance Ownership. Take over all relevant finance tasks from a handful of team members who are currently sharing the workload within 60 days (two month-end cycles).Daily QBO Review. Review all new transactions in QBO and categorize transactions daily.AR/AP Visibility. Maintain trackers for AR/AP (including publisher, commission, and referral payments). Provide visibility for the leadership team into the status of all AR/AP at all times.FinHub Accuracy. Maintain near perfect accuracy of expense data entered into our Finance Hub during monthly variance analysis. Autonomously update expense forecasts as business expenses change (e.g. subscriptions canceled, staff hired, etc).MEC Timeliness. Complete MEC activities, including monthly AR/AP, by specified due dates. Close books and submit monthly finance reports by the second Monday of each month.Hire Accounting Coordinator. Hire Accounting Coordinator to support day-to-day comms and transactions within 6 months so you can focus on higher level work.RequirementsAvailable Mon-Fri until 3:00 PM ET or later. Must be available 9:00-5:00 PM ET for the first 90 days at minimum.7+ years experience in an accounting department. Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.Preferred, but not required: experience working for a US company, experience in advertising or performance marketing, experience working with a small, lean team.Quickbooks and Google Sheets. Expertise in QBO and Google Sheets. We do not use Excel.GAAP and Reporting. Expertise in GAAP and finance reporting best practices.High standards.
