Job Description:
Roles & Responsibilities:Business Development & Sales:Lead business development for the West zone and expand the client base across India.Develop new business, onboard clients, and design integrated logistics solutions (warehousing, CFS, custom clearance, transportation, value-added services, etc.).Maintain client relationships and manage expectations to ensure timely payments and service delivery.Conduct market analysis and identify new opportunities while addressing challenges.Operations Management:Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficient service execution.Track costs, enhance profitability, and improve operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and safety standards.Conduct performance reviews, analyze cost-benefit ratios, and resolve operational issues.Team Leadership & Development:Manage and motivate teams (direct and virtual) to meet objectives.Lead training sessions to upskill the team and foster a positive culture.Compliance & Safety:Ensure compliance with HSSE standards and conduct safety drills.Monitor safety, security, and hygiene across operations.Coordination & Stakeholder Management:Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including group companies, vendors, and authorities, ensuring smooth operations and compliance.Skills & Competencies:Leadership: Proven ability to lead both direct and virtual teams.Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate with clients and vendors to secure the best outcomes.Financial Analysis: Proficiency in descriptive analytics and financial analysis to track business performance and cost-benefit ratios.Safety & Compliance Focus: Keen eye for safety, security, hygiene, and compliance with industry standards.Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve complex operational and customer service challenges.Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of warehousing, logistics, and transportation markets.Qualification & Experience:Educational Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate degree, MBA preferred.Experience: Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in business development, operations management, and team leadership, preferably in 3PL logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
