Engineering Manager

Position - Engineering ManagerQualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Engineering Management or related fieldExperience - 12+ Years of relevant experience in execution of Design engineering projects FEED , Detail Design , Oil and Gas consultantsLocation - Navi MumbaiImmediate Joinee PreferredResponsibilities:-Operational Oversight:Lead day-to-day operations across multiple Design and Engineering projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, budgetsDevelop and implement operational strategies, systems, and procedures to support project delivery excellence.Monitor and manage design execution, progress, and project deliverables through coordination with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.Actively involved in proposals and Pre-bidResource & Team Management:Oversee allocation and utilization of technical and project management resources.Work closely with department leads (engineering, procurement, HSE, quality, etc.) to ensure adequate staffing and skills across projects.Support recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and team development initiatives.Financial & Cost Control:Assist in estimate / budget preparation, forecasting, and cost monitoring across projects.Identify operational risks and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial performance targets are met.Work closely with finance to manage invoices, cash flow, and financial reporting.Process Improvement & Compliance:Drive continuous improvement in operational practices, tools, and workflows.Ensure compliance with client specifications, regulatory standards, and internal policies (including ISO, HSE, QA/QC).Facilitate audits, inspections, and internal reviews.Client & Stakeholder Engagement:Serve as a focal point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.Participate in proposal development, contract negotiation, and project kickoff meetings.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address operational challenges or escalations proactively.Technical Skills RequiredStrong understanding of the project lifecycle in Design and Engineering projects: feasibility, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, and construction oversight.Familiarity with project management tools (Primavera, MS Project), ERP systemsThorough Scope understandingMultidisciplinary Project CoordinationStrong LeadershipContract, Client, Internal ManagementExcellent Communication & Decision-MakingActive and well versed with Design processDesired Software knowledgeMS ProjectPrimaveraERP SystemsMicrosoft office (Word, Excel)About UsFounded in 1988, PMECH is a global leader in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) services.
