Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Flight Team Lead to oversee Drones/UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) flight operations and manage a team of UAV operators, and testing engineers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing UAV testing missions, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for cutting-edge UAV technology. Key Responsibilities: ·      Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of UAV pilots and testing Engineers. ·      Plan and execute UAV flight tests, including mission planning, pre-flight checks, and post-flight evaluations. ·      Ensure all flight operations adhere to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company standards. ·      Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during flight operations. ·      Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define flight test objectives and timelines. ·      Monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with goals and deadlines. ·      Maintain accurate documentation of test results and operational data. ·      Ensure compliance with local, national, and international UAV regulations. ·      Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safe flight operations. ·      Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. ·      Provide input on UAV system design and enhancements based on field experience. ·      Support the integration of new technologies into flight operations. ·      Training- Documentation and On-Field training to clients. Qualifications: ·      Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus- DGCA Certified RPAS Instructor (preferably) ·      Minimum of 5+ years of experience in UAV operations, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role with a proven record. ·      Proven track record of managing and executing complex UAV flight missions. ·      Comprehensive knowledge of UAV systems, including avionics integration and testing methodology. ·      Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., CAR, Drone Rules, DGCA and other related regulations). ·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ·      Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Preferred Attributes: ·      Experience with UAV testing (All Categories) in diverse environments and conditions. ·      Proficiency in UAV-specific software tools and simulation platforms. Work Environment: ·      Fieldwork involving outdoor UAV testing and occasional travel to testing & trial sites. ·      Office-based work for planning, analysis, and reporting. ·      Fast-paced and dynamic environment requiring adaptability and quick decision-making.
