Azure AI Foundry Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary:Client is seeking an experienced Azure AI Foundry Subject Matter Expert to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI agent solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.This engagement will begin as a proof of concept (PoC) initiative and has the potential to expand into broader production deployments. The ideal candidate will operate in a hybrid capacity for advisory and hands-on engineering, helping guide architecture decisions while also actively building and integrating AI agents using Microsoft’s Foundry Agent framework. This individual will play a key role in overcoming current challenges around agent orchestration, integration, and deployment, while supplementing limited Microsoft support resources.Responsibilities:Provide strategic advisory on Azure AI Foundry architecture, best practices, and implementation approachesDesign and build AI agents using Microsoft’s Foundry Agent frameworkTroubleshoot and resolve agent integration and connectivity challengesLead PoC development efforts, with a focus on scalability toward production deploymentAssist with deployment strategies, including CI/CD and environment setup within AzureDevelop demo-ready solutions to showcase agent capabilities and enterprise use casesGuide integration of AI agents with enterprise systems and data platforms, including SnowflakeCollaborate with internal teams and Microsoft stakeholders to align on architecture and executionAdvise on leveraging Azure-native services (potentially including Copilot and related tooling)Ensure solutions align with existing governance, security, and compliance frameworks (in partnership with client’s cyber team)Experience:Deep expertise in Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft’s AI/agent ecosystemHands-on experience building and deploying AI agents / multi-agent systemsStrong proficiency in Python for AI/ML developmentExperience with Azure cloud services (compute, storage, identity, networking, etc.)Proven experience with AI solution deployment and operationalization in AzureExperience integrating AI solutions with Snowflake and enterprise data platformsAbility to operate in both advisory and hands-on engineering rolesStrong problem-solving skills, particularly around agent orchestration and system integrationPreferred Skills:Experience with Microsoft Foundry Agent framework specificallyFamiliarity with Copilot / Azure AI Studio / related Microsoft AI toolingExperience working with unstructured data sources (e.g., documents)Background supporting PoC-to-production transitionsStrong communication skills with experience supporting client demos and stakeholder presentations
