COMPANY : Leading Multinational in Manufacturing POSITION : Packaging Development Manager LOCATION : Mumbai, India SALARY : USD 4,000 CTCOVERVIEW Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing sector, is looking for a highly skilledPackaging Development Managerwith a proven background in apparel labels and packaging. The role requires strong technical know-how, excellent costing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to commercialization. The selected individual will lead a team of product development professionals, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure innovative, cost-effective, and compliant product solutions.RESPONSIBILITIES Spearhead theend-to-end developmentof labels and packaging products in line with brand and customer requirements. Create and presentmock-ups, prototypes, and design approvalsin collaboration with account management teams. Ensuretesting, compliance, and regulatory approvalsfor all new developments. Partner with cross-functional teams to enable smoothtransition from development to large-scale production . Investigate and resolvetechnical challengesrelated to components, packaging methods, or product performance. Drivecosting exercises and supplier negotiationsto achieve the best possible pricing for new developments. Monitor and evaluatemanufacturing performanceto meet quality and operational benchmarks during product launches. Facilitatepre-development meetings , prepare documentation, and circulate clear minutes to stakeholders. Handlemultiple projects and brand portfolios simultaneously , ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality. Provideleadership and mentorshipto the product development team, ensuring continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.PRE-REQUISITES Minimum10 years’ experienceinlabels and packaging product development. At least5 years in a leadership rolemanagingproduct development teams . Solid expertise inproject managementwith exposure to complex product portfolios. Knowledge ofOffset or Gravure printing techniquesis an advantage. Bachelor’s degree inBusiness Administration/Managementis desirable. ERP experience is required (SAP preferred).
