US EBP Audit

Job Title: AssociateLocation:Gurgaon, Hyderabad, or Remote (India)Experience Level:2+ years of relevant experience in Employee Benefits Plan (EBP) audits in a client facing roleJob Description:We are seeking an experienced US EBP Audit Associate to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for assisting in the execution of audits for employee benefit plans in accordance with US auditing standards and client-specific requirements. You will work closely with senior auditors and clients to ensure the accuracy and compliance of various benefit plans.Key Responsibilities:Audit Execution: Perform detailed audit procedures for US-based Employee Benefit Plans (EBPs), including defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, health and welfare plans, and other related benefits.Data Analysis: Review and analyze plan financial data, investment statements, and participant records to ensure accurate reporting in compliance with US GAAP and ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act).Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary audit documentation and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the audit process. Maintain professional relationships with clients to deliver high-quality service.Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior associates and managers in executing audit tasks and support the coordination of audit work to ensure timely completion.Compliance Review: Assist in reviewing and ensuring that benefit plans comply with US regulatory standards, including IRS guidelines, ERISA, and other relevant federal regulations.Documentation: Prepare detailed working papers to support audit findings, documenting the audit process in accordance with firm and regulatory standards.Reporting: Assist in preparing audit reports and schedules, highlighting key findings and recommendations to clients.Continual Learning: Stay updated on changes in US employee benefit regulations and accounting standards (US GAAP) to ensure audits reflect the latest developments.Skills and Qualifications:Educational Background:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or ongoing CPA track preferred.Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in auditing employee benefit plans (EBPs) or related fields.
